County commission agenda

Below is the agenda for the Thursday, April 16, Butler County commission meeting.

I’m going to try to post these before every meeting (they’re generally twice a week; there’s a calendar at the bottom of the agenda). Let me know if you think that is useful, or just a waste of everyone’s time.

Children Services applicants - correction

In this post (and subsequent story), I said that no elected officials had applied for the job of Butler County Children Services director.

My apologies; I was wrong.

I forgot that Jerome Kearns, assistant director of Butler County Job and Family Services, is also Fairfield City Schools Board of Education president.

So there is indeed an elected official in the running for the job.

This follows the recent trend: the last time the job came open, it was filled by then-county commissioner Michael Fox. And a front-runner for the Emergency Management Agency director post is Middletown City Councilman Bill Becker.
