Local Dems form PAC
Press release from Don Daiker, a prominent local Democrat in Oxford:
The newly-formed Butler County Progressive Political Action Committee (PAC) has scheduled its first general election meeting.
The PAC will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 12 in the Community Room of the LCNB Bank Building (30 West Park Place) in uptown Oxford to elect its first president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer. The PAC will also elect three executive board members.
The Butler County Progressive PAC developed from the Oxford for Obama-Biden campaign committee that helped Obama earn 66% of the presidential vote in Oxford City and Oxford Township.
Obama-Biden Neighborhood Leaders Don Daiker and Bill Gracie, as well as Team Leaders Anne Bailey, Mary Duerksen, Cynthia Durgan, Marilyn Elzey, and Phyllis Mendenhall, have been instrumental in creating the PAC. Other PAC leaders are Rick Bailey, Phil Best, Kathleen and Peter Carels, Eric Carman, Barbara Cox, Roland Duerksen, and Mary Melvin of Oxford; Bruce Carter, Michele DeCresce, and Donna Mollaun of Fairfield; Jocelyn Bucaro, Julie Robinson, and Kathy Wyenandt of Liberty Township; and Brian Harrison of Monroe.
The mission of the Butler County Progressive PAC, as published in its by-laws, is “To advance progressive causes and to recruit, support, elect, and sustain progressive candidates at the local, state, and national levels.”
The sole requirement for holding office and voting is membership in the Butler County Progressive PAC. Membership requires completing a simple application form and submitting it with annual dues of $10 to BCP-PAC Acting Treasurer Rick Bailey (192 Stone Creek Dr, Oxford OH 45056). Application forms will be available at the meeting night. All members and their guests are welcome to attend the Election Meeting.

Don Daiker, now there is a name from the past. Let us all remember he came very close a few years ago of being indicted on shaking down an employee (for $)at the Board of Elections where he served as a Board Member and was forced to resign due to his criminal behavior! Don’t think I will be joining his pac group anytime soon.
