Book closes on Ken Dorsey era
The new regime apparently saw enough of quarterback Ken Dorsey on tape to decide it has no interest in seeing him in person.
Dorsey was one of seven players whose contracts were terminated today. Also gone are linebacker Antwan Peek, defensive back Terry Cousin, QB Bruce Gradkowski, punter Mike Dragosavich, kicker Jason Reda and offensive lineman Eric Young.
Peek, you’ll recall, was supposed to be a pass-rush specialist, but he never could stay healthy. His 2008 season ended in training camp with a knee injury. He started four games in 2007 and had four sacks.
Dorsey was the Browns’ third quarterback for most of the past three seasons. He was forced to start three games in 2008 and looked overmatched, finally crumpling under the weight of a season-ending injury Dec. 21 against the Bengals.
In the end, Dorsey, a former seventh-round draft pick of the 49ers, played just long enough to remind everyone how weak his arm actually was. It’ll be an upset if this isn’t the end of his NFL career.

Well, at least it will give Dorsey a chance to start his coaching career. He was bad, very, very bad. Sean, anything to the Minnesota rumors with Anderson? And if so, what could we get?By professor

But weren’t the Cardinals an upset this year?
