Gabrielle Giffords will resign from Congress this week
Recently I read the powerful book that Congresswoman Gabby Giffords just co-wrote with her husband the former astronaut Mark Kelly.The title of the book is “Gabby: A Story of Courage and Hope” (Scribner).
Now she has announced that she will resign from Congress. She made the announcement in a video. To watch it click HERE:

A woman of courage … I too wish her a total recovery from her injuries and a long and happy life.

Ms Giffords recovery is quite the miracle. However, because of her horrific injury, I don’t believe she was up to the job. Sadly, I think this was the right decision.
