Is LeBron James the greatest player ever?

Scott Raab thinks so. He told LeBron as much. That doesn’t mean he has to like him. He likes LeBron a lot less since James bailed on his Cleveland Cavaliers to take up residence with the Miami Heat.

Scott Raab is a long suffering Cleveland sports fan. He has just written a funny and thoroughly embittered book about the tribulations of being a Cleveland fan. There’s LeBron James, the Akron kid who broke all their hearts in NE Ohio. There was Art Modell who shattered Cleveland Browns fans by taking their team to Baltimore. Don’t even get him started on the Tribe, the Cleveland Indians.

I interviewed Scott Raab recently. He’s a brilliant writer and a fabulous interview. We talked about his new book. We talked about LeBron. We talked about Cleveland. Tune in to hear it this Sunday morning at 11 on WYSO (91.3fm).

Although I felt a little sorry for what LeBron went through last year, not enough to not post these jokes: Apple has just released the LeBron James iPhone. Only vibrates. No rings….Why did LeBron skip college? To avoid the finals….LeBron James will release his autobiography as soon as he comes up with a title….Thank you and good night, everybody!

To answer the question posed in the headline - “Not even close”. Remind me again how many NBA titles he has won? Zero. Nada. Zippo.
