I think Ron Paul can win in Iowa

The Iowa Caucuses will be held next Tuesday. Mike Huckabee won the GOP side of the caucuses four years ago. He had strong support from evangelical voters in Iowa. He didn’t win the GOP nomination to run for president but his Iowa win certainly shook things up a bit.

Polls show that this time around there is no clear-cut leader. Can Newt win in Iowa? Or will it be Mitt? This time around the evangelical vote in Iowa seems split up between many of the candidates. The winner in Iowa will probably be the candidate with the best organization on the ground. That is probably not Newt Gingrich. He failed to get on the primary ballot in Virginia because they failed to get enough valid signatures.

Mitt Romney has been ignoring Iowa somewhat to focus on New Hampshire. He has the organization on the ground in Iowa but I don’t think Mitt will garner many votes from evangelicals.

Which leaves Congressman Ron Paul to play the spoiler. He has the organization there. With so many candidates splitting up the votes in Iowa I think Ron Paul can actually win there. If he does that will really shake up the GOP field.

Ron Paul has written a lot of books. So has Newt. Mitt has written some, too. Between those three, when the dust settles I see Ron Paul potentially coming out on top in Iowa. If he does that will be one for the history books…what do you think?

p.s. I see that a restaurant in Iowa just named a sandwich The Newt. It has lots of ham…

Well, that was fascinating. Santorum really came on at the end and almost passed Romney. And Ron Paul was close in Iowa, but no cigar. My one regret: that we probably won’t have Michele around going forward to provide some comic relief. We certainly can use some with Newt reverting back to Nasty Newt now, calling Romney a liar, etc. As Chuck Heston once told me: “we live in interesting times…”

Ron Paul will win. Why? He will win because most Americans realize that the U.S. is turning into a country where government is omnipresent in everyone’s life - every day - in a bad way. They are starting to see their government as the colonists saw King George. People are becoming afraid of their government, especially the monarchical courts, and their lack of respect for life and liberty — and the right to be left alone and self-reliant. They see Ron Paul as their hope in their struggle for independence.

Contrary to Fred’s assertion, The only thing the Republican candidates have shown Iowans is THEIR stupidity. They shovel more excrement at us than an Iowa hog confinement. At least Rep. Paul is consistent and doesn’t pander to every audience at the nearest Pizza Ranch. If you could see the ads out here you would think the candidates were in a competition for who is closest to God. Also, every one of them knows how to eliminate the debt, save us from damnation and create millions of jobs. Truly, miracle workers.

I have my concerns about Ron Paul. I am certainly for anyone that can beat Obama next year. Obama must be defeated for the well being of America. Ron Paul does not seem to be the top of list. I like Rick Santorum as well. We will find out next week.

Ron Paul is a nutcase and will disappear just like Huckabeee. The only thing the people in Iowa are showing us is their stupidity.

The only way Paul wins in Iowa is if voters don’t do their due diligence. His foreign policy ideas are naive to say the least.

Ron Paul will win Iowa in a landslide! Dr. Paul is not the “not Romney” candidate. He is the anti establishment candidate. Considering the damage the DC establishment has done to our once great country, Ron Paul is the only choice. The others are all business as usual.

Yes, Paul possibly can win Iowa. It’s his turn to be the not Romney. Santorum may be next. Bachman will be out after Iowa, but it may take a while for her to figure that out.
