The Dorito connection….

Writers love to write about Doritos. Did you know that? I didn’t. But I just read an article about it. Here are some examples of writers writing about Doritos:

James Patterson: “‘I headed down to the CSU lab and found Charlie Clapper curled up behind a metal desk, wearing a lab coat, munching on a breakfast of Doritos chips. His salt-and-pepper hair was oily and tousled, and his eyes sagged like heavy bags.”

Stephen King: “So while Ma and Pa are downstairs, watching American Idol, chowing on Doritos and worrying that their favorite warbler may get voted off the show, their over-imaginative little sonny boy (or baby girl) is upstairs, listening to Slipknot and wondering if Doritos give you cancer.”

Joyce Carol Oates: “He’s dropping the knife, can’t see to pick it up, groping amid wet newspaper on the pavement, crinkly yellow Doritos wrapper, but there’s the knife, the blood-glistening knife that’s his only consolation.”

Nora Roberts: “They sprawled on the steps of the veranda with a couple of bottles of beer and a bag of Doritos. His flavor of Doritos, Ford noted. With her head tipped back against the post, Cilla laughed so the sound of it poured over the music. And straight into Ford’s gut.”

Amazing! I had no idea. To read the rest of the article click HERE:
