A famous writer on the Red Sox collapse…

She just tweeted it so this is public in a way but I shan’t mention her name. This famous writer tweets:

“The Sox are done, and we are sad,

The collapse is epic, the critics mad.

Pedroia, Ellsbury, they were stars;

Methinks Francona bound for Mars.”

I say: Go Tigers!

@vick…probably more wishful thinking on my part than a prediction but I’ll say Tigers/Brewers. I might actually watch that one.

I thought about you when I saw what happened. My condolences, but you know it could be worse. You could have been a Cubs fan. A least the Sox have won a couple of championships in recent years. That has to count for something.

My prediction would be the Yankees and some NL team.

Mr. Sports, the Yankees still have a slim chance of making their 200 million investment pay off. But I think Verlander is better than Sabathia this year so they need to get past Detroit first. I’m predicting Phillies/Tigers in the World Series. Anybody care to make their predictions for who ends up playing for all the baseballs??

If nearly 200 million cannot buy them a title, how much will they spend next year?

As my daughter would say: epic fail. I’ve been too upset over my Reds lackluster performance this year to worry too much about the Sox. But as all we fans say, Wait ‘till next year!

Glad the Sox are done, now let the Yanks, Cards, and Phils join them!
