Caroline Kennedy (Compiler)
Caroline Kennedy has just published a new book, “She Walks in Beauty - a Woman’s Journey Through Poems” (Voice).
Kennedy, the daughter of President John F. Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy (Onassis), has had a successful career of publishing books, many of which are essentially compilations of the work of other writers.
This collection of poetry is being released during April which is National Poetry Month. If you look up the listing for the book on Amazon.com it clarifies Ms. Kennedy’s function on the project. It states: “Caroline Kennedy, (Compiler)”.
Typically, Ms. Kennedy selects the works for each compilation and writes an introduction. “She Walks in Beauty” is already a top 50 bestseller over on Amazon. Nice work if you can get it!

I believe she is still married to Mr. Schlossberg. If she wasn’t, I’m certain we would have heard about it…

I wonder if Caroline is still married to the Schlossberg man. Please note my spelling may not be correct. I have always been interested in the Kennedy history back to Joe Kennedy and even his parents. I still believe the relationship between the mob, the CIA and the Kennedys brought on the murders of Jack and Bobby. So I wish Caroline well and look forward to seeing her at future Kennedy Award Center functions.

BTW Vick, doubt I’ll be picking up Ms Gore’s novel. My tastes are mostly American History, WWII and Political books. The last novel I recall reading was Crichton’s “State of Fear” 5 or 6 years ago.

Vick, call me cynical, but I’d guess the only reason Ms Kennedy is publishing/compiling books is that her mother was in publishing. I must confess, I didn’t know she had any original work. So I can’t speak to any writing talent she may or may not possess. Mark, I certainly don’t hold the fact she’s a Kennedy against her. My Irish Grandparents Loooved the Kennedys. My Grampa was an Democrat city official in Youngstown Oh. As a former Irish Catholic, I’ll always be thankful JFK was elected President, despite an anti-Catholic bias/fear prevalent in that time.

Why does a classy, smart, and thoughtful guy like Vick Mickunas waste his time writing for the pathetic DDN. It’s a miserable, worthless rag. Bird cage liner, at best.

It’s nice to know that you can lose your dad when you’re small, then, before you’re out of high school have an uncle assassinated and another uncle disgraced. That you can spend almost your entire life staying out of the public eye but even then when you edit and compile a book of poetry, there’ll be those who will quickly stand and point and scream SHE’S A KENNEDY!

No Vick, That “Uncle” thing was the ultimate fighting of the fifties. Now days, the bully would break your arm and beat up your uncle.

Irish, I have no doubt that Ms. Kennedy works very hard on these books. It should be noted that she is also the author of some original works as well. You might recall that her mother, Jackie, had a long career as a prominent editor in publishing. Oh, and I’m sure you’ll be the first in line to pick up “Sweet Jiminy,” the latest novel from Kristin Gore. She’s Tipper and Al’s daughter….
