She battled an eating disorder
Stacy Pershall grew up in a small town in Arkansas. By the time she was in high school she was battling a severe eating disorder. She would eat, then purge. Eat, then purge.
Pershall has been battling that problem and others ever since. She’s about to turn 40 and she just wrote her first book, a memoir called “Loud in the House of Myself-Memoir of a Strange Girl”.
It took courage to write it. I interviewed Pershall recently. You can hear our conversation this Friday afternoon (February 18) at 1:30 on WYSO Public Radio (91.3fm).
