“The Naked Mom”
Today is the day, the official publication date for “The Naked Mom- a Modern Mom’s Fearless Revelations, Savvy Advice, and Soulful Reflections” by Brooke Burke.
You might know the author as the host of Dancing With the Stars. She’s doing all the talk shows this week. The book is already in the top 200 in sales on Amazon.com, and rising.
Once we get past the cover - yes, it is eye catching - we find a book that offers advice like this:
“Sometimes mothers should focus on themselves.”
Instead of trying to be selfless, “mothers should empower themselves and instead strive to be self-aware.”
“Letting erotic fantasies play out gives mothers a needed break from the nature of motherhood.”
And those are not meant to be spoilers - more like a teasers.

No clue if the book is any good, but a long time ago when I still watched cable, I got hooked on E! because of Brooke. Usually I’d turn those shows off because the hosts are so vapid, but she’s a very sharp and engaging woman. More gravitas than jiggle but not too full of herself. And always always always waaay out of my league.

If this book were really written for women, the title would be “Batteries Not Included”.
