We’re in good hands with Sarah Palin….

Who needs a teleprompter? Sarah Palin just writes her notes all over the palm of her hand.

The former governor, former VP candidate, current FOX News commentator, and the author of a new memoir, Palin knows how to stay in the headlines.

The latest kerfuffle involves her staying on “message” by repeatedly looking down at her hands for written guidance. Hey, whatever works, right?

I don’t suppose she’ll be mocking Obama’s teleprompter skills again any time soon….

One time I interviewed an author on the radio. He was sitting across from me in the studio and he kept looking down at a sheet of paper in front of him. I could read what it said from across the room. In big block letters it read: SLOW.

He was reminding himself to speak more slowly during our interview I suppose.

Whatever works, right?

Vick, Here’s a cost analysis of Mrs Palin’s notes for your enjoyment: http://pajamasmedia.com/zombie/2010/02/10/crib-notes-technology-cost-analysis/

It was her left hand. I’m thinking she’s being manipulated by the forces of darkness. Warmongering on Iran and scratching out budget? Demanding tax cuts in this economy? Sarah’s jig is almost up, look to her property tax dodging in Alaska, her still begging for money for lawyers after earning millions on her book and her inability to motivate anyone other than sheep. Presidential? Hardly. Demonic? You decide.

Vick, I’m glad to see you’re following Mrs Palin’s lead. Somehow, I’m guessing you weren’t applauding during her speech…

Just how petty do you libs intend to be? Four or five words written down is hardly a comparrison to the idiot that needs a teleprompter to say ‘good morning’ and thanks himself for being in a room. I bet she knows how to pronounce Corpsman too! You on the left are pathetic. Grow up.

What a silly and childish criticism. Unfortunately though, this is the kind of meaningless crap we come to expect from the far left media these days. Let’s not attack her message, just keep attacking her.

Oh yeah, Irish-she’s green alright. I don’t think she’ll make the energy conservation hall of fame though. And if I applaud her how will I be able to read my notes when my hands are moving?

Nicole, it is not really fair to criticize Ms. Palin for writing core values on her hand. In a speech like this, it is easy to get tongue-tied and to forget what you have already said. And most of us can’t list our core values off the top of our head because they are so obvious TO OURSELVES. But she should not criticize Mr. Obama for doing essentially the same thing she does.

Vick, I think you should applaud Mrs Palin for being so green. No wasted paper or electricity to power a teleprompter. You’d think liberals would love to follow such a fine example of conservation ;-)

The only problem I have watching Palin speak is when the spotlight shines on her, the light reflecting out the back her head is distracting because there nothing between her ears to stop it. She makes Dick Cheney’s hand puppet who posed as our president look brilliant.

There is no shortage of funny clips coming out of Washington, you need to watch FoxNews to see them. Sarah Palin stays in the spotlight because the media craves to hear what she has to say. We are the Party of Know…know the constitution is a great document that has withstood the test of time and, know that it isn’t a good idea to force something down the throats of America when the majority says, no! But, please keep doing what you’ve been doing and we’ll restore America to its greatness with the next few elections.

Some good points being made here. Yes, it is rather hilarious and comedians are having a field day. Here’s what the comic Andy Borowitz just wrote: “NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report) - The Fox News Channel, which has already signed Sarah Palin to a deal as an on-air commentator, today deepened their commitment to the former Alaska governor by signing her hand as well. “We were very impressed with the job her hand did at the Tea Party Convention,” Fox News chief Roger Ailes said. “And we said to ourselves, let’s give Sarah Palin’s hand a job.” Governor Palin’s hand was not available to reporters, but it did release an official statement about its new job with Fox News.”

Tom, Did you ever stop and ask yourself why the media keeps her in the limelight? Because it makes for hilarious clips. Hopy changy come on man, maybe words like that from the mother of a newborn not a presidential candidate. Here is to hoping the Republicans find a better suited candidate to run in 2012.

I have no issues with anyone using notecards, teleprompter, or writing on their palms. What I have issue with is that Palin needed note to remember her core principles. One should not need notes to remember core principles if they are truly “core”. At anytime, ask me what my values are and there will not be hesitation.

Hey Mr. McBookNook…..in case you didn’t realize this, Obama is the president, Palin is not and never will be. Glad you used your blog to show your liberal tendencies. This is what you say you do-Book Nook provides readers with insights into the world of books. That’s not what this garbage was.

Becky, no offense intended, but you don’t know what you are talking about. You can keep on believing that fantasy. You certainly have no shortage of company in this local area. I suggest you take some time and watch the video of Obama’s recent unscripted and unrehearsed Q&A with the House Republicans. If you can believe, after watching this session, that Obama is some scripted, shallow, non-thinking automaton who can communicate only in rote talking points then you have truly taken a fatal dose of the kool-aid. This meme is a favorite of conservatives. And its reality exists only in their fantastical imaginations.

I agree with Becky, using a few words on your hand to get through a speech as opposed to prompting for every single word is really impressive. Although I was happy to vote for Sarah as VP, I thought the loss would put her in the background but, it’s almost as if she continually gets re-energized by the media not letting her fade away. Of course, the Tea Party movement is constantly getting the same power of the people from a media that won’t let the cause die…keep it up through November and on into 2012, please.

Wow, Becky. You really advanced the quality of political discourse with that highly intelligent comment. the whole temperment of political discourse is running this country into the ground, and we have folks like Sarah Palin to look to for leadership. What a thought.

OR she could use index cards like Pres. Reagan did. OMG, they had more than a couple of words on them. Becky101, does that mean he was lying?

At least she only needed a few words on one hand for reference instead of a teleprompter that spells out every last unending words! This is what happens when you aren’t lying. You don’t need a teleprompter to remember the truth!
