Book of Genesis enters Top Ten…
Just checking the hourly book charts over at Amazon.com and was astonished to see The Book Of Genesis soaring in sales at #8 on the Top Ten. This is the Bible story but it is the graphic novel version as illustrated by the infamous underground cartoonist R Crumb.
I can’t wait to read his version…

24 hours later the book has actually moved up a couple slots to #6. R Crumb is selling like Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin. I can’t stop laughing….Crumb is right behind Palin. Crumb’s arrow is green and it points up; sales are rising. Palin’s arrow is red and it points down. Her sales are in decline at the moment. And Glenn Beck has dropped out of the top ten completely. R Crumb is outselling Glenn Beck at the moment on Amazon. Too funny!

He’s out there. I’d be interested in flipping through it on my next book store visit. He and his wife contribute to the New Yorker, which is something I thought I’d never see.

Well, I don’t have one by Crumb but I do have FaithKidz’s “The Picture Bible” graphic/cartoon version. It makes for restful, light reading in bed. : )
