“Twilight’s” Stephenie Meyer sued…
Mega best-selling author Stephenie Meyer has been sued. Meyer, the creator of the blockbuster “Twilight” series of books stands accused of “copyright infringement” for allegedly plagiarizing some of her plot ideas from another writer. Is there any merit in this claim ? Or, is it just somebody trying to tap in to Meyer’s bulging bank account?

Haven’t been interested in reading any of the trendy vampire-porn that seems so popular these days but I’ve heard that Meyer’s writing is pretty terrible. As far as the plagiarism, there are enough similarities between ANY of these book series that it’s likely that ideas are repeated. Outside of it being word-for-word, any of these writers could probably sue each other for any number of ideas since the ideas between them seem to be so limited.By Emmett Thornton Beaver

Where there is money, there will always be lawsuits. People want a slice of the pie, even though they haven’t earned it. Sad. Hopefully the litigation will be short-lived.By Karen

Having read both the twilight series and the Sookie stackhouse series “trueblood” There are some things that are close but not enough in my opinion for plagerismBy smc

I was wondering when this would happen. This book has so many similarities to others (such as the Southern Vampire Mysteries otherwise seen on TV as TrueBlood). Stepenie Meyer has the worst writing style of anything I’ve ever read.By wm

Having grown up in Phoenix and graduating from high school in the Phoenix area, then, eventually ending up in western Washington state for 14 years. Yes, not far from Forks. The storyline is interesting to me.By Deborah

I feel strongly that if you think about something “loudly enough” the thought should be free to those who are highly receptive and who act on their inspirations.
