I’m not alone

Star slugging outfielder Manny Ramirez has just been suspended for his next 50 games with the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball club for failing a drug test. The Dodgers have been running away with the National League’s western division, powered by the remarkable hitting of their eccentric star slugger.

New books detailing the alleged past drug use by that current New York Yankee star Alex Rodriguez and former Yankee star Roger Clemens were published this week to considerable fanfare. Now this.

The substance in question is taken by those who have taken steroids and are trying to prevent their D%#*s from shriveling. True, and factual. They’re tainted. As are the Championships and titles they helped win. It’s a bummer, Vick. But, your BoSox are “Blacksox”. My Cubs are undeserving divisional, delusional wannabbes, too. Tainted testaments to the new bastardization of the game. Just admit your glory years are STAINED. Mine (small as they may be) are too.

“It was in those files, said people in baseball with knowledge of them, that the officials discovered that Ramirez had been prescribed human chorionic gonadotropin, or H.C.G., a fertility drug for women that men can use to generate production of testosterone after they have stopped using steroids.” (NY Times/May 8, 2009)

Note to George Steinbrenner: Cheat harder! And isn’t it funny how all the cheating comes about because of all the money in pro sports? If teams were owned by municipalities and players were paid from the gate, there would be much less incentive for this crap.

The Yankees have won zero world championships with A-Rod. Ha Ha Ha…

If you read further this drug is often taken by men following steroid treatments to keep their “genitalia” from shrinking. No one likes this but, unfortunately, it puts into question the validity of the BoSox World Championships. The same of course is true for the Yankees (A-Odd, C(l)emons et al), Cubs’ Divisional titles (Sosa), Cardinals (McGwire), the whole stinking bunch of them. They all crapped in their own mess kits. It makes me wonder what the agent-owner contract negotiations/conversations are like. “We’ll give him the extra 2 years at $30 million but, we expect results..know what I mean..nudge, nudge, wink, wink.”

” Ramirez said he did not take steroids and was given medication by a doctor that contained a banned substance. A person familiar with the details of the suspension said Ramirez used the female fertility drug HCG, or human chorionic gonadotropin. The person spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the banned substance wasn’t announced.” (CBS Sportsline/May 8, 2009) Now that is bizarre!

Just “Manny being Manny”. Again. This doper is the same dope who begged out of the lineup with a feigned injury only to be found at a local watering hole the same night. I’m guessing Manny wanted to take a little time off and failed the test on purpose? Naw, he is, as Vick noted, another rich fool. This fan has had enough of these idiots. It’s time for Selig and the rest of his collaberators to spill the whole story. Congressional Special Prosecutor time for these bums. Once the list is out, asterisk the lot of them. Purge them from the HOF. Where is the indignation that was leveled at Pete Rose? These dopers have done more damage to the game, in my opinion. And, the owners share in the crimes against baseball for stonewalling the truth about their knowledge of its depth and breadth. There is a special circle in hell for the Madoff’s, insurance, financial institutions and others who ruined the economy and screwed disaster victims. Those who are ruining our national pastime deserve a ticket to the same destination.

I just read it was erectile dysfunction medication. Maybe this explains why he is not being very outspoken or going public with what he took.

They are reporting that the banned substance was human growth hormone. Duh. How stupid is Manny’s doctor? How stupid is Manny? Duh. Barry Bonds thought it was an herbal cream. A-Rod was just an innocent kid. Roger never touched the stuff. Tejada thought it was vitamin B-12. What a bunch of rich fools.
