Leaving LA

The dust settles on another Book Expo America. It was a good one. I have lots of stories to share with you. The stars were out. I saw Alec Baldwin, Slash, Dionne Warwick, Barbara Walters, Stan Freberg, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ernest Borgnine..to name just a few.

I’m headed to LAX to catch my flight back to Dayton…more later.

From Book Expo America this is Vick Mickunas saying….I wanna go home!

A week after BEA and I am almost feeling back to normal. Los Angeles is like another planet.

np, Victor, I am having computer issues and had figured that my computer was the culprit. I just got back from NYC. I walked out of Grand Central one day and noticed a familiar face. It took me quite awhile to put Ed Burns name with the face, but it was he and filming was going on. So now, I’ll have to watch to see if I’m in a crowd scene in or around Grand Central!

LMJ…I didn’t actually speak to Stan Freberg. I was in a walkway leading up to the autographing area when I spied a venerable gentleman slowly making his way forward with an assistant on his arm. I read his name tag: STAN FREBERG. I was so awestruck that I was struck speechless. (btw-I’m sorry that I erased your previous comment by mistake).

I was envious when you started communicating from a Book Expo. Now you’ve added to the injury. STAN FREBERG! Oh, my gosh! I can’t wait to hear about your meeting with him.
