the new Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni
Reading books provides an endless voyage of discovery. Every time I find an author who has written something that appeals to me I feel blessed.
A number of years ago I read MISTRESS OF SPICES, the first novel by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. What a magical debut! I was enchanted and I have been a fan of her novels and poetry ever since.
It has been my pleasure to interview Chitra on a number of occasions. I was charmed. And she is fond of the Dayton area. She went to Wright State.
So I was thrilled today when I saw that she has a new novel coming out in February. She has titled it THE PALACE OF ILLUSIONS (Doubleday) and it will be published on February 12.
This book goes straight to my nightstand!
