So, are we in a recession?
The former Federal Reserve chief Alan Greenspan titled his recent memoir The Age of Turbulence. He could have been describing the US economy right now…
Greenspan could move markets by uttering the “R-word”. Stock markets around the world are falling this week as fears that the US economy is sliding into a RECESSION grip markets in Europe and Asia.
What do you think? Is our economy headed in the right direction? Here’s an update from the New York Times:
Would you care to make any predictions? Is this just a touch of fiscal indigestion? The home mortgage crisis might be finally coming home to roost-what do you plan to do to weather this situation if it does become a full blown RECESSION ?

Is “IT” happening? For the moment, no. Forever, maybe yes — it’s kind of like living, while you are doing it, you are also dying and sometimes it takes a long time to die.By victor mickunas

Recession is not Depression. It seems like every time things sink to what they were six months ago, there’s screaming about Recession. “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” comes to mind. The most I know about finance is I would know how to count the change to give to a person if I sold them something. If it’s about half-way serious, I would expect to find it on top of the BBC International Edition for three days in a row, and if it isn’t there, I’m not going to worry about it.
