Black-throated Green Warblers in Your MetroParks

T4 3 Img_6385m.jpg
Black-throated Green Warbler, by Joshua York

This bird has been seen flying through many of your MetroPark nature parks, as these make excellent resting spots for their journey north. Their flight originates from Central America and Mexico, and won’t end until they reach northern United States and Canada, although some choose to nest in the Appalachian Mountains. Listening for a buzy “Za Za Za Zoo Zee?” or “Za Za Zoo Zoo Ze?” will help you locate this incredible bird!
