Take a Look Today
Cabbage White Butterflies can be seen in the area. One of the first butterflies to be found in the gardens is out and flying about. The little white butterfly has been spotted. It will nectar on early spring flowers and lay eggs not only on cabbage plants but several plants in the mustard family. It also likes broccoli, radish, cauliflower and turnips. Today is a great day to spot the cabbage white, get out and see if you have any in your yard or garden. Picture by Markku Savela.
A great program is taking place this Friday, April 3rd at Cox Arboretum MetroPark from 1:00 to 2:00PM.” The Connection between Caterpillars and Their Host Plants”.
