Will butterflies emerge this time of year?

There are still butterfly and moth caterpillars around in the garden but not for much longer. The quality and quantity of their food source will be decreasing. The caterpillars should be starting to form their chrysalis and cocoon very soon. The big question is will you see them emerge this year? No, you shouldn’t. These cocoons and chrysalis should overwinter and be the butterflies and moths we will see in the spring. Has anyone seen caterpillars that are still feeding or found and chrysalis or cocoons in there garden?
