Red-Spotted Purple—Spotted

The red-spotted Purple has been seen on many of the crab apples in the area. Cherries and apples are two of the hosts plants for this butterfly. It’s nice to see the adult butterfly using the crab apple. There are many more crab apples planted in our neighborhood than apples or cherries.
