Bengals lose Williams for stretch run
The Bengals will be without one of their veteran leaders for the final three games of the season.
Cincinnati placed offensive guard Bobbie Williams on the injured list Monday, ending his season and his streak of never having missed a game to a football-related injury. Williams suffered a right ankle fracture during Sunday’s loss to Houston. The 12th-year NFL player has been Cincinnati’s starting right guard since joining the Bengals in 2004 as an unrestricted free agent.
In a related move, the Bengals added Otis Hudson to the roster from the practice squad. Hudson (6-5, 311; Eastern Illinois) is a first-year NFL player. He was on the roster for games 1-4 this year, but was inactive each week, due in part to a knee injury suffered in preseason. He was waived Oct. 6 and had been on the practice squad since Oct. 7. A fifth-round Bengals draft choice in 2010, he spent his rookie season on the practice squad.
