Bengals’ 2011 opponents set

BENGALS’ 2011 OPPONENTS ARE SET

The Bengals’ list of opponents, home and away, has been set for 2011:

Home: Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, San Francisco 49ers.

Away: Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos, Jacksonville Jaguars, St. Louis Rams, Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans.

Game dates and tentative kickoff times will not be determined until the spring.

In interconference play in 2011, all AFC North teams are matched against the NFC West. The Bengals will have home games against Arizona and San Francisco, with the 49ers visiting Cincinnati for the first time since 2003.

Two of the games — home against Buffalo and on the road at Denver — were determined by the 2010 NFL standings. As fourth-place finishers in the AFC North, the Bengals are assigned to play the fourth-place teams from the AFC East and AFC West. The other 14 Cincinnati opponents were already known via the announced NFL schedule rotation that has been set through 2017.

DRAFT EXPLANATION

The Bengals have been allotted the fourth selection in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft, scheduled for April 28-30.

Carolina (2-14 in 2010) has the first selection. The 2-3-4 spots are held by Denver, Buffalo and Cincinnati, which all finished 4-12. The Bengals are at No. 4 because their 2010 schedule was the strongest of the three teams, based on aggregate opponents’ record. Cincinnati’s 2010 foes played to an overall .582 winning percentage. Denver (.516) gets the No. 2 selection, and Buffalo (.578) gets the third.

If the Bengals keep the No. 4 spot, it will mark their earliest draft selection since 2003, when they took QB Carson Palmer with the No. 1 overall pick.

Mr. Brown, please trade down. There are serious needs on the offensive line and at linebacker. Could use a good safety, too.

My Bengals don’t suck. They just don’t play very good. But hey, the stadium fills and I make money. Life is good.

Mistakes killed the Bengals all season. Again minus the fumbles yesterday they completely dominated the Ravens. We will see how the AFC north teams do in the playoffs. The Ravens looked terrible agaisnt the Bengals but the Chiefs didn’t look so good either. It should be an interesting game. The Steelers could have a shot since they always seems to have the defense score many of their points.

Hey Mike Brown, Hire me as your offensive coordinator…Get rid of Chad, Keep TO at what ever cost for 2 years. Put me in charge of running conditioning for all of the athletes. You won’t get run off the field and penalize all the off sides, movements, and neutral zone infractions with fines and benchings. It would stop. Turn control over too the coaches and things would improve. You are not your dad. I have been a fan since 1979 when I was 10. I am sick of the loosing. I coach ms and hs track and cc. We don’t loose much and it is all about mental attitude, demanding of the players and setting goals and making them obtain them. Don’t except mistakes and failure!

Mike Brown &Marvin Lewis Lewis should stay if he would take the kid gloves off with chad, and the should sign t.o. if they can . I think after awhile these comarvinaches get settled and get soft with certain big players and theywind upruining the team spirit within the other players and this is sensed and if other players speak out they are disgruntled. So Marvin get back to ur old ways and win us a SUPER BOWL!
