Bengals: Ocho fined $20K, safety Williams done, Purify activated
The $1 bill Chad Ochocinco offered an NFL official during the Bengals’ win over Baltimore Sunday, Nov. 8 is going to cost him $20,000.
According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, the NFL has fined Ochocinco $20,000 for the gag.
In other news, the Bengals announced on Twitter that safety Roy Williams has been put on injured reserve, ending his season, and wide receiver Maurice Purify has been added to the active roster. Williams has not played for several weeks because of an injured forearm.
Second-round pick Jerome Simpson was also a candidate to get moved to the active roster, but it will be Purify who gets a chance to fill-in for Chris Henry, whose season is over after having surgery on his broken forearm.

So… the Bengals have begun announcing roster moves via Twitter? Is this story from an official news source?

So far, our main inuuries have primarily been depth issues. Let’s hope nothing major happens. Ndukwe has been doing very well in Roy’s absence and should continue doing so.

Just catch the ball and be a comedian during the off season. Stop embarrassing the Bengals, we would appreciate employee Chad Johnsocinco.

Some of us actually enjoy Chad and his antics. Brings fun to the game! Embarrassing the Bengals?? He puts them on the front page! It’s his money. If he wants to give it away in fines, so be it. Go on, Chad. Be yourself! There are 31 other teams to like if you people can’t deal with Chad.

I want to know what the NFL does with all the money they get from fines. Really!? $20,000 for a joke and only $25,000 for Ray Lewis taking Ocho’s head off! The No Fun League strikes again, get a sense of humor people.

the fines go directly to charities the players need to donate to for tax purposes anyway. Fines mean nothing to these guys but noteriaty!
