‘Lombardi,’ ‘Q,’ ‘Race’ coming to Loft
The Human Race Theatre Company has announced a 2012-13 season of three plays and three musicals at The Loft Theatre in Dayton.
Everything but the classic musical “Oliver” be a first-time local production.
The lineup will include:
“Managing Maxine,” a comedy about sexy senior citizens by Janece Shaffer, Sept. 6-23.
“Oliver,” “right-sized” for the 220-seat Loft, Nov. 29-Dec. 16.
“Lombardi,” a drama by Eric Simonson about the legendary Green Bay Packers football coach Vince Lombardi that played Broadway in 2011, Feb. 7-24, 2013.
“Race,” a drama by David Mamet that feeds off of and fuels the flames of controversy, April 4-21, 2013.
“Avenue Q,” the irreverent, prize-winning puppet musical, which has made only a brief previoius appearance in Dayton on tour, June 6-23, 2013.
“Under a Red Moon,” a dramal about Britain’s “Acid Bath Murderer” and his psychiatrist, Oct. 18-28, 2012.
“Under a Red Moon” will be a season extra. The others will be part of the subscription season.
