New members debut with Dayton Ballet
The Dayton Ballet is opening its 2010-11 season at the Victoria Theatre with several new members, apprentices and trainees.
Will Hoppe, who danced with the Ohio Ballet for six years and other companies, is the most experienced new member. He is originally from Miami, Fla.
Annalise Woller, who grew up in Colorado and graduated with honors from Goucher (Md.) College, has performed with the Boulder Ballet.
Jesse Cooper, who hails from Iola, Kan., is an apprentice. He has danced with AmericanYouth Ballet and as a trainee with Ballet Austin.
Company trainees this year are Marcia Hetrick, from the University of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and Carmel, Ind., and Abby Phillips from Taylor, Mich.
Dayton Ballet will present the premieres “Casanova” and “Eve of Frankenstein” through Sunday, Oct. 31, at the Victoria Theatre. For times and ticket information, call (937) 228-3630 or go to www.ticketcenterstage.com.
