WSU zombie film to screen
“Revelation,” an award-winning short about zombies that was shot at Wright State University, will have its local premiere Saturday, Oct. 30, at the Neon Movies, 130 E. Fifth St.
The screening will be part of a showcase of locally produced shorts starting at 3:30 p.m.
Writer/Director Will Graver, who cast the film locally, said “Revelation” is “a zombie movie with a message. It’s a a social commentary focusing on the importance of human interaction in times of need.”
The film follows two young people seeking shelter at a college as they encounter a mysterious man living in the campus tunnels. Can they trust him? Can he trust them? Or anyone else?
Graver’s 28-minute film was an official selection at Scotland’s Deep Fried Film Festival and earned “best zombie film” honors at Louisville’s 2010 Fright Night Film Festival.
A 15-minute documentary about the making of “Revelation” will be shown afterward, followed by a question and answer session. The entire program will last about 90 minutes. Tickets will be $5 at the Neon box office. To see the trailer or production stills, go to www.revelationzombie.com.
