TweetLocal group posts online album
Options, a musical group with members from Dayton, Columbus and Cincinnati, has released it first full-length album online.
“100 Different Spellings” includes 23 tracks of electronica, ambient, trip-hop and glitch music, spokesman Brian Asbury of Dayton said. “It’s very counterculture and anti-pop.”
They range in length from the 20-second “Some Would Call It Summer (Layers Mix)” to the almost 4-minute “Sleeping Dragons.” Along with vocals, instruments include guitar, drums, synthesizer, cello, viola and djembe.
The group will pursue live performance opportunities in area venues, said Asbury, who grew up in West Chester and started on the music project while a student at Ohio State University.
