Bombatch wins AARWBA award

Middletown Journal sports writer John Bombatch won second place for Best Podcast/Webcast in this year’s American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters Association national contest.

Bombatch won runner-up honors for a video he filmed while riding around Kentucky Speedway at 135 mph with NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Cale Gale. It marks the second consecutive year Bombatch has won an AARWBA award.

The awards ceremony was held May 23 in Indianapolis.
